John Segota, Advocacy and Professional Relations Manager, has been with TESOL since 1996.
John's responsibilities at TESOL include government relations, media communications, and management of TESOL's advocacy activities. John works closely with TESOL's executive director and Board of Directors on issues management and elements of strategic planning, and has also assisted with the development of several standards projects. Part of John's ongoing duties also include serving as TESOL's liaison to organizations such as the National Coalition for Literacy and the Joint National Committee for Languages, as well as serving as a staff liaison to the TESOL Standards Committee and the Global Professional Issues Committee Committee. John has a BA in Political Science with a concentration in International Studies from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, MA, and a graduate certificate in Project Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management.
