WVTESOL Conference April 21 2007, Morgantown WV

Meeting Minutes 

1.      Locations for the next possible meeting were proposed and discussed. These locations included: Beckley, WVU-P, and Marshall University. 

2.      A possible change in the date/time of year for the Conference was discussed.  Proposed dates included fall and earlier in the spring, though there were concerns all around about the weather in WV if the conference is held any earlier. 

3.      The next item discussed was the payment of the guest speaker of the next conference, and if it is possible to get a speaker that will appear without a fee.

4.      New board members were asked if they were a member of national TESOL or “big TESOL”.  Members were made aware that there are possibly travel grants available for travel to the next national TESOL conference.

5.      Next, members voted to allow the new board members to have a free membership to national TESOL.

6.      A need for a new webmaster was expressed; board members said they would check with Alex before looking elsewhere.
